Overview
Mr. Woodall is a registered patent attorney with continuous experience in the field of intellectual property since 1995. Mr. Woodall specializes in U.S. and PCT patent and trademark application preparation and prosecution, and has filed and prosecuted hundreds of provisional, non-provisional and national stage patent and trademark applications in the U.S.

Mr. Woodall has experience drafting patentability and trademark availability, freedom to operate and infringement opinions, trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings and registering copyrights. Mr. Woodall also has experience carrying out appeals and conducting interferences before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences (BPAI), and in patent and trademark enforcement, including sending and responding to cease and desist demand letters, and prosecuting and defending patent infringement lawsuits. Mr. Woodall is adept at intellectual property strategy and global intellectual property portfolio management.

Prior Legal Experience
In addition to his time with HC Park & Associates since 2016, Mr. Woodall has also worked for over five years as a Patent Examiner, seven years as an Associate and Senior Associate Patent Attorney for prominent intellectual property boutique firms in Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia. Mr. Woodall also operated his own boutique IP practice for over four years before joining HC Park & Associates.

Representative Technologies
Mr. Woodall’s patent work has included a vast diversity of technologies in the fields of mechanical and electrical devices. Mr. Woodall spent nearly a year focusing on aerospace technology, two years focusing on laser eye surgery technology, at least six years focusing on telecommunications technology, and many more years focusing on other technologies such as imaging, automotive and a wide variety of consumer products.
